Hello! I’m Danielle Pizzoferrato, hailing from the historic steel town of Steubenville, Ohio, known for its rich Italian heritage and helping put Ohio on the map for per capita drinking. My journey into the world of whiskey and bourbon began surprisingly early—my mom would rub Crown Royal on my gums when I was teething. Ever since, I’ve been hooked (thanks, Mom <3)!

While pursuing my nursing degree at Kent State University, I also earned an online degree in Mixology, fueled by my genuine passion for the craft. From those early memories with Crown Royal to a growing fascination in my mid-20s, I became enthralled by the science, history, and regulations surrounding the bourbon industry. Over the past 18 years, I’ve lived throughout Northeast Ohio and seized every opportunity to travel, sampling a diverse range of bourbons wherever I go! The incredible variety of flavors and brands ignited a desire to learn and explore even further. Thus, Pizzoferrato Oak Aged Spirits was born—a venture aimed at sharing my discoveries and insights, especially for those who are curious yet unsure of how to embark on their own bourbon journey.
